Irish Hills Bicycle Tour - September 15, 2024

This scenic tour offers routes of 10, 31, 65, and 100 miles, catering to both novice and experienced cyclists. Riders will enjoy the varied terrain of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, with the longer routes featuring rolling hills, horse farms, and picturesque lakes. The event begins and ends at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania, Ohio, with registration from 7:00-10:00 a.m. SAG services and snack stops are provided on all routes, with lunch included for those on the 65 and 100-mile loops. On Saturday, August 24th, Toledo Memorial Park, Brightz, and Yark Nissan are once again sponsoring a night bike ride to create a colorful spectacle through Sylvania. Metroparks Bicycle Tour

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, the Metroparks Bicycle Tour offers routes through four scenic Toledo Metroparks, with distances ranging from 15 to 100 miles, and provides views of the historic Maumee River. The event begins at Fallen Timbers Middle School in Whitehouse, Ohio, with registration open from 7 AM to 10 AM. Snack stops and a lunch stop are included, with all riders required to wear helmets and follow safety regulations. Online registration closes on July 18, with day-of registration available at increased fees.

Portage River Bicycle Tour - 6/23/2024

Starting at Woodmore High School in Elmore OH and following the Portage River, this flat ride offers routes of 10, 31, 62, and 100 miles! Registration is 7-11 AM on Sunday, June 23.  You can find more route and registration information on the Maumee Valley Adventurers website.

2024 Ride of Silence

Wednesday at 7 p.m. over 200 cyclists met at the University of Toledo and in Bowling Green as part of an international movement to remember people who have been injured or killed while riding a bicycle. The cyclists participated in a slow-paced public ride, bringing awareness to safety and bicyclists’ right to use public roadways.
