Bike Month Kick-off Party at Glass City Riverwalk

Posted 4/3/2026

May is Bike Month and there's a kick-off party on Saturday, May 2nd, at Glass City Metropark. The event features a special preview ride along the Glass City Riverwalk on both sides of the Maumee River, including a first look at The Bend — an S-shaped ramp connecting downtown to the bike/pedestrian lane on the Martin Luther King Bridge.

Festivities begin at 10 a.m. on the river’s west side behind One Seagate. Following remarks, participants will be the first to ride The Bend before it opens to the public.

The one-mile ride will conclude at Market Hall in Glass City Metropark on the east side of the river, where a "Bike Party" will continue until 2 p.m. with partners hosting a bike rodeo, information tables, safety education and other activities.
