Anthony Wayne Trail – Updates

The City of Toledo is constructing a new bike path along the Anthony Wayne Trail linking Maumee and downtown Toledo! Stay tuned to this page for the most up-to-date news on the new trail!

The new trail will go from the Maumee city limit to Glendale Avenue, with a connection to the existing Chessie Circle Trail near Detroit Ave. The path will eventually extend north from Glendale Avenue toward the Toledo Zoo where it will connect to an existing bike trail that goes from the Zoo to downtown Toledo.

4/19/2024: The construction schedule for the multi-use path is still unclear. Check out how a section traveling through the Toledo Country Club is holding up progress.

11/16/2015: Construction begins on a section of the Riverside Trail along the Anthony Wayne Trail. 

In early 2015, the city published a master bike trail plan with a trail from Maumee to downtown Toledo. The path will serve as a link between neighborhoods and provide a new way to access downtown, the Toledo Zoo, and more.
